His medical miracles are too good to be true. This aloof doctor's methods are less than conventional. What better way to save a patient, than by biting them? Fresh out of nursing school, Isabella struggles to save her dying patients while vying for the attentions of a doctor who is too hot to handle. Will Isabella fall for the charm of this hard-body physician with a kind smile and the “Miracle Doctor” reputation? Can anything stop the double-edged virus as it courses through the small hospital in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana? Contains bonus content, high-heat scenes and action-based violence.
**I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Taylor Haiden. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.**
This was a lot different than what I normally read, as contemporary romance and shifters tend not to be my thing (I've been burned and may or may not have Reviewer PTSD), but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. Isabella was a strong, determined, caring character and Dr. Roman was…wow. This was DEFINITELY worth the listen!
“The Werewolf MD” was a quick read/listen and the dual POV’s of Isabella and Dr. Roman kept things moving at just the right pace. I really liked Isabella, even when her naivete made me cringe at times. Dr. Roman also had his wince-worthy characteristics and behaviors, and at times they edged the line of what makes a hero unforgivable. The instant knowledge that they are mates as well as the chemical attraction between them adds several layers to the stakes they face. Not only do they have hospital drama, but there are outside forces making threats. It’s a lot for such a short story and such a new couple.
And as much as I normally loathe cliffhangers in the first book of a series, it actually worked here and set Book 2 up nicely. So there's that.
Having a male narrate so many female characters threw me at first, but Hugh Bradley was a Rockstar. The accents were spot-on, and he gave each character so much life that I could almost forget they weren’t speaking for themselves. Mr. Bradley is clearly a professional in his field and I will absolutely be listening to more by him!
Bottom linie: Full of action, suspense, strong characters, and a well painted setting, “The Werewolf MD” was a refreshing mix that kept me listening. Highly recommended for those who love shifters, sexy doctors, and lives at stake.

From Hugh: “I’m a classically trained actor, and have been on Broadway and toured all over the world in everything from musicals to Shakespearean productions. I still perform on stage from time to time, but most of the time these days I stick to recording, and producing and directing for the stage.”
